BWKW " BURO WATERKRACHT WERKEN" - forest walk and boat trip (fixed program)

U vertrekt vanuit onze lokale luchthaven Zorg & Hoop in Paramaribo naar Kabalebo, ongeveer 1 uur vliegen, naar het westen van Paramaribo. Het vliegveld is gelegen naast het ressort. Het verwelkomen en inchecken geschieden door de leiding. Na de rondleiding kunt u genieten van de lunch. Vervolgens maakt u zich klaar voor een 1 ½ uur durende boswandeling. Een boswandeling naar de BWKW stroomversnellingen. Deze boswandeling is in combinatie met een boottocht in een korjaal. In de middag drijft u terug naar de Main Lodge terwijl u geniet van de natuur, de vogels en bosgeluiden. In de avond wordt het diner opgediend en kunt genieten van één van de heerlijke Surinaamse gerechten die de kokkin/kok voor u heeft bereid. Na het diner wordt het programma voor de volgende dag besproken en napraten, of op de ruime veranda genieten of in uw hangmat ontspannen.

Kilo 3 Kreek

After your breakfast, you will depart floating in silence in a korjaal to Kilo 3 (three). You will enter Kilo 3 creek, where you will take a beautiful hike through the jungle to Kilo 3 rapids. Here you will have lunch and relax in the creek. In the afternoon, you will return to the Main Lodge where you can relax in a hammock, by the pool or relax on the pier along the river. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious Surinamese dinner. After dinner, the leader will give you some more information about the next day's activities.

Misty mountain top (long trail)

After your breakfast, you will take a mountain hike through the jungle of about 6 ½ hours to the 500 meters high Misty Mountain. Along the way, the guide will give you information about the flora and fauna. You may hear or see howler monkeys, blue-yellow macaws, the forest bird Screaming Piha (Lipaugus vociferans), frogs and butterflies. From the top you will have a breathtaking view of the virgin tropical rainforest, the resort and the mysterious mountains in the south of Suriname. Your lunch will be consumed at the top of Misty Mountain. On the way back you will call at the Charlie Falls where you can relax. After your return, you can cool off at the pool or in the hammock and enjoy the surrounding scenery. After dinner, the leader will give you some more information about the next day's activities.

Charly Falls

Na uw ontbijt maakt u een bergwandeling door het oerwoud van ongeveer 4 uur naar de Charlie Falls aan de voet van de Misty Mountain. Onderweg geeft de gids u informatie over de flora en fauna. Bij de Charlie vallen aangekomen kunt u ontspannen en tevens genieten van uw lunch. Na uw terugkeer kunt u afkoelen bij het zwembad of in de hangmat en genieten van het landschap om u heen. Na het diner zal de leiding u wat meer informatie geven over de activiteiten van de volgende dag.

Bivouac via foot of mountain (on return kayak)

After breakfast, you will depart for a two and a half hour hike from the base of Misty Mountain to the bivouac camp, where we will relax for a while before continuing on to Sand Creek. This cruise, which takes about 45 min, will take you through an area with different vegetation than what you have seen so far. We will have lunch at a beautiful rapid where you can relax in the water. In the afternoon, we kayak back to the Main Lodge. After your return, you can cool off by the pool or in the hammock and enjoy the surrounding scenery. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious Surinamese dinner. After dinner, the leader will give you some more information about the next day's activities.

Beechcraft trail (lange trail ± 4 uur) 

Na het ontbijt, starten wij bij het neer gestort vliegtuig ( beech G18S ), waar de gids u de geschiedenis vertelt over de Beechcraft trail. De trail loopt over een heuvel en rots achtige gebied, en de lunch wordt genuttigd bij een klein kreekje, waarna u uw tocht vervolgd naar de Main lodge. Na uw terugkeer kunt u afkoelen bij het zwembad of in de hangmat en genieten van het landschap om u heen. ’s Avonds geniet u van een heerlijk Surinaams diner. Na het diner zal de leiding u wat meer informatie geven over de activiteiten van de volgende dag.

Start via mountain to Moi Moi Waterfall (+ 3 hours, return by boat) 

After your breakfast, you will depart from the foot of Misty Mountain to the Moi Moi waterfall. Arriving at the spot, you will start an educational forest walk to the Moi Moi waterfall. The previously acquired knowledge about the tropical rainforest now becomes more interesting with our guide. Satisfied from the hike, you can continue to enjoy Moi Moi. Your lunch will be consumed at the falls. In the afternoon, you will sail back to the Main Lodge. After the program, you are free to enjoy by the pool, the terrace or in your own way. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious Surinamese dinner. After dinner, the leadership will give you some more information about the next day's activities.

Kayaking (fixed program)

On the last day of your stay, you will start with breakfast. Then it's time for a fun attraction: kayaking. In a korjaal you will be dropped off upstream at Krong Soela. There you will transfer to a kayak and row downstream back to the Main Lodge. While rowing, you can enjoy and say goodbye to the sounds, smells and all the beauty of nature around you. After lunch, we say goodbye, and you fly back to Paramaribo.
