At 9:00 am, pick up from the hotel by car or bus. We leave early for the Afobaka road. This road takes us to Atjoni, the main docking and trading place in the area. Once we arrive in Atjoni, we transfer to a traditional wooden korjaal. During this boat ride, we will pass some small Saramacan villages before arriving at Jaw Jaw, our place of stay. Upon arrival at Jaw Jaw, we will first move into the lodges and recover from all the impressions. Then we will explore the area and have a nice swim in the sula's. One can retreat to their own needs and enjoy the surroundings and massive jungle silence. In the evening there is a dinner.

We start the day with a nice breakfast. After breakfast, we will visit the village and take a nice forest walk. During the forest walk, we may see some boarding land. This is where the Maroon women grow their crops. After these activities we have lunch in the village and in the afternoon hours we sail up the river. We pass some Saramacan villages and sail on the special sula´s (rapids) like the Ferulazzi. The guide will explain the lifestyle of these special people who, through their closed community, have preserved many ancient customs. In the afternoon we return and there is the opportunity to take a cayman tour. In the evening we have dinner and spend the night in Jaw Jaw.

After breakfast, we get ready for the departure to Paramaribo. We sail back to Atjoni and here we transfer back to the bus that will take us to Paramaribo. We arrive in Paramaribo by the end of the afternoon.
